Remembering and honoring the fallen heroes of America’s armed forces is a time-honored tradition within the Trucking Industry. Wreaths Across America Day is a time to remember those who gave everything to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Held on December 17th, Wreaths Across America (WAA) Day is a day where people from all across the country can show respect for the sacrifice of fallen military members by placing wreaths at any more than 3,700 participating national cemeteries.

Arlington National Cemetery and Beyond

While Arlington National Cemetery serves as the central gathering place for participants of WAA Day, Americans can participate by volunteering at the National Cemeteries in their hometowns. Craftsmen Utility Trailer will be taking part in the remembrance of fallen heroes again this year. In a partnership with Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, we donate and place a wreath at the headstone for every New Utility Trailer that Craftsmen sells annually.
Over the past four years, Craftsmen and Utility have donated nearly 10,000 Wreaths to this great cause. Employees from all three Craftsmen locations volunteer to place wreaths at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO, Rock Island National Cemetery in the Quad Cities and Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

The Practice of “Doing Good”

In 2022, Wreaths Across America will deliver 587 trailer loads containing approximately 2.5 million wreaths from Maine. These wreaths will travel to all 50 states and several U.S. territories to be laid by volunteers.
Craftsmen’s commitment to WAA is another example of the company’s mission of “Doing Good” in the communities where we live and work. One of the special benefits of the WAA Program is that many of our Craftsmen Employees are encouraged to bring their families to volunteer each year. This experience allows us to teach the next generation about the sacrifices that the brave men and women of the armed forces have made over the past 2 centuries to preserve the freedoms they enjoy not only today, but every day of their life’s journey.
