Craftsmen adds 7 additional acres at Mueller Road for growth.
2017 – Davenport
Craftsmen builds a new 25,000 square foot facility on 14 acres in Davenport, IA. The new facility includes 12 service bays, a parts showroom, a parts warehouse, a meeting room, and sales and admin offices.

Craftsmen opened retail parts shops at each location as well as adding additional warehouse space.

Craftsmen rebrands as Craftsmen Utility Trailer to reflect our dealership status and relationship with Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company.

Craftsmen employees form their own Non-Profit 501©3 Foundation called Craftsmen Cares to continue the company’s goal of helping under-privileged kids and families in need in the communities we serve.

Craftsmen unveils its new Employee Center that includes Miss Penny’s Café, a large Meeting and Break room, and a workout facility.
2015 – Davenport
Craftsmen acquires an existing Utility Dealership with 5 service bays along with administrative, parts, and sales offices located on 3 acres in Davenport, IA.
2014 – Sikeston
Craftsmen adds a 3-acre Sales/Drop lot with great highway visibility.
2012 – Sikeston
Craftsmen adds 4 additional service bays, for a total of 8 bays, to meet the increasing customer demand.
2007 – Sikeston
Craftsmen acquires an existing Utility Dealership with 4 service bays along with administrative, parts, and sales offices located on 9 acres just off a ½ mile West of Interstate 55 and Interstate 57 on Highway 60 in Sikeston, MO.
2006 – St. Louis
Craftsmen Industries spins off their fast-growing trailer division as an independent company. The birth of Craftsmen, LLC creates the need to build a 3rd St. Charles facility. The new 80,000 square foot facility on 34 acres is located just down the street on Mueller Road. Sons, Lou Helmsing and Mark Helmsing take over the reins of Craftsmen.
2000 – St. Louis
Due to continued growth and increased customer demand, Craftsmen Industries opened a 2nd St. Charles facility. The new facility located on Elm Point Industrial Drive is 127,000 square feet on 20 acres.
1996 – St. Louis
Craftsmen Industries partners with Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company.
1994 – St. Louis
Craftsmen Industries moves to a new location on West Clay in St. Charles, MO.
1994 – St. Louis
Craftsmen Industries creates a remanufacturing process for trailers, dollies and can flatteners.
1982 – St. Louis
Founders, Joe & Penny Helmsing, start Craftsmen Industries, Inc. with 8 employees on Howard Street in St. Louis, MO. “Craftsmen” was named after the eight original highly skilled mechanics!
