At Craftsmen, we believe in the “Craftsmen Way” . . . . . Working Hard, Playing Hard, Doing Good.  Doing Good has always been important to Craftsmen and its employees.  Over the years, we have always been willing to give back to the community by supporting many great causes!

In 2016, our employees took Doing Good to another level. We established Craftsmen Cares, our own 501(c)(3) Foundation that is dedicated to giving back to the communities we serve with a special focus on helping under privileged kids and families.   With more than 70% of our employees donating to Craftsmen Cares on an annual basis, combined with our company “match” program, Craftsmen Cares is positioned to help even more folks in the communities we serve.

In 2019, Craftsmen Utility Trailer and Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company are partnering to donate a wreath for every new Utility trailer sold to Wreaths Across America. Learn More!

Our “Pedal to Perfection” program was initiated by the Craftsmen Family in 2009.  After delivering backpacks to a school, we asked the principal what was her biggest challenge?  She stated, “Getting the kids to school every day so they have the opportunity to learn.”  With that, we developed a program that rewarded a student with a Free Bike if they achieved perfect attendance during the school year.   Perfect attendance went from 3 students to 43 students in the first year . . . and the rest is history!  In addition to delivering hundreds of Bikes to well deserving students over the years, Student Test Scores have improved significantly!

Another fantastic program we developed with the help of our friends at Blackhurst Elementary has been our “Readers are Leaders” Program.  Five years ago,  the school facing with the challenge of developing the reading skills of their students, a program was created with the goal of reading more books during the school year!  Students who completed the program were rewarded at the end of the school year with new books that could be read over the summer.  In the first year, 25,000 books were read! In our fifth year, students are on pace to read 50,000 books!    Again, Student Test Scores have improved dramatically!

In a decade old partnership with the Golden State Foods Foundation, we have worked together in our community to help improve the lives of children and families in need in the areas we serve.  From Pedal to Perfection, to Readers are Leaders, to Coats for Kids, to Backpack to School, to Build a Bike, our employees have worked together, side by side in our community, to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than us.
